All our tutors are specialists in the subjects that they teach, with their own proven track record of academic pedigree: all are graduates of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, including many with academic backgrounds including Professors, Lecturers, Post Doctorates and PhD students.
Each has been selected by BPT through a rigorous process involving a CV screening review and a one-on-one interview.
Many are also teaching within institutions at the levels at and above those at which they offer private tutoring through BPT.
-
The syllabus and resources for each student are determined as appropriate by the tutor, as the subject specialist.
We can offer all subjects listed on our website and specialise in 11+ and 13+ (including Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning), English, Maths, Sciences and Languages to GCSE and A-level – as well as interview practice, mentoring for applications and more: please make any specific enquiries directly.
-
As a BPT client, you will receive from our tutors the highest levels of expertise, professionalism and effort – a plan for your goals which is personalised / bespoke and responsive to your needs.
While we have achieved considerable success with our students over the years, we cannot of course guarantee any particular outcome. However, among the many factors which determine the outcomes for each student, we create the conditions for students to fully realise their potential through the expert teaching, mentoring and support which BPT tutors provide.
Of the many variables in education, we excel at all that we can control, enabling learners to develop a love of learning, to aspire to their best possible prospects in education, and to realise the best version of themselves.

As set out in further detail on the “Our Successes” page, BPT tutors have taught and prepared our students for a wide range of successes in school entry at 11+, 13+ and 16+, to top British public schools, including Winchester College, Eton, Harrow, Westminster, Cheltenham Ladies College, Wycombe Abbey, Marlborough College, St Paul’s, Sevenoaks, St Leonards and Bedales.
BPT students have achieved academic scholarships at some of the most prestigious public schools in the UK, including Winchester and Harrow.
In such competitive fields, though, the greater credit for these special awards and achievements must of course go to the student. We are proud, however, to have provided the best possible preparation and inspiration for our learners to excel.
We are also proud to have supported students to achieve top grades at GCSE and A-level in a range of subjects. Following these successes, many of our students choose to return to BPT, or even to stay with us throughout their ongoing academic journey. With our tutoring and support at A-level and throughout the UCAS application process, our students have almost always secured places at their first choice universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol, UCL, Birmingham and King’s College, London.
You can see on our Testimonials and Our Success pages many comments from our clients, providing more detail and specific examples of these achievements.

All our tutorial lessons are one hour long, although there is the flexibility of course to arrange an hour-and-a-half or two hours. The frequency that students meet with their tutors varies from person to person, but one or two sessions a week is common for many of our students. Individual study needs and academic goals may call for more or fewer sessions a week, but your schedule is best arranged with your tutor when you get started.
-
Our tutors can provide a full programme of teaching and learning using video conferencing platforms (generally over Skype or a similar platform), supported by use of Google Docs, Microsoft Office and Classroom services, as well as e-mail and standard messaging platforms wherever helpful.
The specific arrangements are agreed between individual clients and tutors to provide the best available solutions, reflecting circumstances and needs.

We understand that life is busy, which is why our online tuition is designed with flexibility and convenience at its core.
Our sessions are scheduled around you – just speak to your tutor to discuss the days and times that work best for you. We also have the flexibility to cover various timezones and schedules, both weekday and weekends, during term-time and holidays.
We also have tutors available in certain physical locations (London, Oxford, Cambridge, Singapore, Bangkok) who can deliver in person sessions, either on a weekly basis or for intensive holiday sessions.

You will receive regular BPT progress reports detailing areas covered, areas of progress and areas for development, as well as informal check-ins for monitoring and assessment included in regular informal updates from the tutor. Unlike many tutoring agencies, we understand the need for – and fully support – a direct relationship and partnership between tutor and parent or guardian.
